RVJ Remanufactured AVCS

All remanufactured gears are cleaned and inspected. After passing inspection of the timing sprocket, camshaft centering hole, and overall housing condition they are disassembled and all any debris is removed. On the exhaust gears if the pin is worn or missing it is replaced with a new pin. A new gasket is installed and the unit is assembled and tested for function.

AVCS (Active Valve Control System)

Cam gears are hydraulically controlled sprockets that adjust camshaft timing on the fly to boost power, improve fuel economy, and lower emissions. If an engine suffers a catastrophic failure, these complex gears trap metal debris and sludge, requiring a rebuild, or complete replacement to protect a new engine.

Contamination Risk

Debris from a spun bearing or blown motor hides inside the gear chambers and can ruin a freshly built replacement engine. It is recommended to have them replaced every time there is an engine failure.

Engine Warranties

Not replacing gears after an engine failure can directly affect and potentially void the warranty on a newly installed replacement engine if old metal debris triggers a secondary failure.

Warranty

RVJ limited warrants this remanufactured gears against defects in workmanship and materials for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of receipt.

Core Charge & Freight Shipping

Unlike traditional practices, we do not require an up-front core charge when you purchase our product. Instead, we offer a convenient and hassle-free process for returning your old short block, ensuring a smooth transaction for both parties.

By making a purchase from us, you agree to promptly deliver your AVCS gear core within 30 days from the date of purchase. It is crucial to adhere to this time frame to avoid any inconveniences. After the 30-day period, failure to return your core will result in the voiding of your warranty and a charge of $50.00 on remanufactured AVCS gears.
