RVJ Adjustable Timing Idler Kit

The Adjustable Timing Idler Kit is intended to properly align the camshafts on Subaru EJ20/EJ25 cylinder heads and/or blocks that are resurfaced or utilize thicker head gaskets. The ability to adjust and properly align the cams is recommended for any performance built Subaru.

• Two mounting bolts
• Two idlers with a machined 10mm hex, so your socket can hold the idler in place while you adjust the timing to perfection

Usage

The adjustable idler kit is designed for long blocks that are reduced in overall length by resurfacing the heads during a rebuild, decking the block, or both. That process effectively retards the timing: the belt has not changed length, so something needs to make up the difference in slack that the tensioner cannot provide. The same applies if you utilize thicker head gaskets.

Warranty

RVJ limited warrants this idler kit against defects in workmanship and materials for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of receipt.
